Mosques Around the UK Go Green for Ramadan

Several Mosques around the UK have “Gone Green” this past Ramadan!

Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting from dawn to sunset, is a time of year when many mosques provide daily meals for hundreds of worshippers just after the evening prayer.  A common problem is waste: food containers and plastic water bottles can often be seen overflowing from bins around the mosques at this time of year!

This year, several mosques in the UK are making great strides to reduce waste and encourage recycling and other eco-friendly measures to their communities.
